"A withdrawal time is a win," goes the popular saying. It is less of a victory but to take when one has time to stop doing something I was doing. As you grow older, physical and mental arrangements of people are changing, which means no worse, but adapting to reality. It is clear that the physical conditions evolve with age and not necessarily for the better. It is true that experience can help a little but certainly not be able to do the same "achievements" that we were young, even though we care a lot.
All my life I've loved the sport, even beyond what could be considered an average or reasonable action. I like to say "I played all but poorly "in a clear assumption that I have not featured in any of the sports that I practiced with a certain intensity and have been varied: road cycling and mountain, basketball, athletics, tennis, soccer, futsal , skiing, distance running, racquetball ...
Today in this post I talk about my departure from the slopes. I came late to it and have not reached a good level, but enough to enjoy those long descents and pleasant snowy slopes of the mountains in a clear and clean contact with nature. Multitude of experiences and memories crammed into my mind wander a product of my different ski resorts in the Pyrenees English and French and Sierra Nevada in Granada. The jump to the Alps, where everyone speaks wonders for its size and grandeur and is deferred sine die. I write this from the ski resort of St Lary in the French Pyrenees, where it's time I retired. I came with the clothes but almost no determination, because the last time I put on skis and I said that in "this is over" and so it proved. Every morning I climb to the ski accompanying my family and friends, to help bring the many achiperres which involves skiing boots, skis, poles, gloves, hats, helmets, etc. etc. in a never-ending symphony. We must recognize that when you have everything in place and you're on top of a mountain only to enjoy the fall thinking you forget all pain. Makes me eager to get to, but I stand and I on the people to enjoy the quietness of the apartment, a walk and shopping to prepare some sandwiches and go back to the station to eat with them, after which I went down again to wait on his return in the afternoon.
But I've reached the point where I think I compensated. There is no hiding the fact that, for people who live in the center of the peninsula, skiing is an expensive sport, which is practiced almost, forgive the repetition, a week of the year barring any weekend getaway that will rarely occur. It is not a physical issue, because doing things calm head and you can go to an advanced age. It is not uncommon to see tracks in older people certainly enjoy their practice. But as I say, everything has an end and it is best to read when you should hang up the junk and focus on other experiences that may be equally enjoyable.

These withdrawals are not new to me, as have occurred on previous occasions and for different reasons. Road cycling, I practiced with intensity between 24 and 30 years, I had to say goodbye when the vehicle traffic advised not to travel on the road climbed a shaky two-wheeled gadget where the chassis was you. Of all the sports, which I liked and I've enjoyed has been the football. I've played everything from janitor to front and stayed in it until about forty, playing every Sunday and even in some time, Land. An injury to the meniscus, produced while skiing, was the catalyst for hanging up his boots and say goodbye, not without some regret.
I is distance running, though they're going to meet eight years since I ran my last marathon in Seville, I refuse to quit playing the sport that otherwise is as healthy, running and / or walking . I do not rule, but I see far, running marathons again, but if you maintain a physical tone that allows me a little run in a time that is good for the body and spirit. The problem is four interventions meniscus, two on each knee, occasionally say that they are there and be careful.
