Mount Blade Seri Numarası
I entered the vortex of struggles, victories, joys and sorrows of my people so misguided. At that time I was desperate to change the world I've ever exist: a world saturated with individuals unconscious, forgetful, not ideologies, with a strong dislike to their peers and their surroundings. In those years, he took every proposal that I presented as if it were the perfect weapon to destroy those who had called my enemies, I assumed they were the enemies of my people.
The period in which I was college-age when I defined there illuminates my ideas and my actions "Was a particular moment in a dying world from its ruins. A pack of four consecutive years brought the memory of events that changed the course of humanity, being particularly welcomed and made by twentysomethings like me.
Some of these events were the death of Che Guevara, the student revolt of May 68, the killing of the Plaza de las Tres Culturas in Tlatelolco in Mexico, Woodstock, the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, land reform, promotion Popular Unity, among others. It was logical, then, that if these events shook my heart, I join the ranks of rebels who yearn for new ways of living, other than that we are defiantly imposed.
Parallel to this, during this time, the country confirmed the events that occurred in the past and had found in books. On April 28, 2007, the Constitutional Court threw the decrees 982, 983, 988 and 989 that criminalize social protest arguing pernicious gang, aggravated kidnapping and apology for terrorism. This law resulted in a bloodbath of victims, whose only crime was to report the abuse, neglect and subordination to which they were subjected. Moreover, these crimes, carried out by police and military, showed the desire to "clean up" by the state to fulfill its desire to show the face of a people bataclanas condescending ceremonies, such as CADE and APEC. Considering these facts
how was it possible that while my contemporaries such as Jonathan Condori were ruthlessly murdered by an army in the service of a government traitor, corrupt and criminal in the classrooms of my youth college we had our heads in trivial matters such as Fun numbing, alienating consumerism or trivial problems in the household? What our representatives believed that his position was a contract that made them masters of our land and our lives, handling them at will? Was it permissible, perhaps, should receive the same government that blatantly George Bush, the leader of the republic of genocide around the world, the same as in the 60's tried to quell a heroic peoples as North Vietnam and Cuba through Napalm and the economic blockade and that in the time he stepped on our land was at war against other people (IRAC), a war that he had assembled to satisfy your desires mercantilist? What did you expect Mr. Alan Garcia, who far from raising our voice of rejection and protest, be silent smiling and knees?
could not agree to such barbarism. We did not accept these facts and are not forgave those responsible, at least, the attitude of those knowing the magnitude of the consequences, made of the fact that nothing happened or worse, not hurt. Abuse and hypocrisy was the fuel that ignited small flame in a meadow of ignorance, fear and misinformation.
But the fury and action, like everything in life, were progressive, low to high. At first I just listened the great deeds of a few teachers who managed to sow the seeds of revolution: good people whose only wish is to witness an awakening of youth. Thanks to them, bit by bit using the proposals I had my best to download these feelings that were inside me and they are legitimately in force.
A the first was the magazine stands Day 30, a project born in my school that had not been slowed to the silencing of the powerful or have been corrupted in its objectives and themes, have been, perhaps, a true revolutionary platform operated by facing youth and the youth.
In this space, talent or folly, could avoid the banalities of my committees and be insistent on the issues I think important to define our identity as a people and class, exposing the horrors he had discovered, plant a proposal, which was not nothing but unity and struggle, and encouraging to realize it.
Parallel to this, during this turbulence, also born Runakuna, a space formed Quilapayún impressed by Victor Jara, Inti Illimani, Violeta Parra, Rolando Alarcon, Illapu Silvio Rodríguez, Atahualpa Yupanqui, Carlos Puebla, Chico Buarque, among many, who used art and particularly to popular song, such as a weapon of struggle, unity, change and revolution.
times forward and the road was widened: the experiences and truths contained in the asparagus through summer jobs, new comrades who made me understand the breadth and diversity of the world and seeded alternatives for art , widened the road of reform and strengthened my horizon. The die was cast and there was no alternative: a matter of time and a last push for everything to flow in line to what was brewing. This was the preamble that gave rise to what later became the Student Community Pro Environmentalism and Human Rights, CEPEDEH.
After participating in the protest against rising public transport fares for students of the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo had organized, was the famous bloody June 5, the "Baguazo." At that time, many students already knew the abuse of state dominated by APRA and neoliberalism, not only through the newspapers, but also in the flesh. In a feat was organized to protest the arrival of George Bush, some friends were unjustly arrested in the middle of the night by the National Intelligence Service and accused by the press fascist terrorists and gangsters. Similarly, another partner was brutally beaten by the same body in an act of solidarity with trade unionists and sugar during the process leading to the June 5, multiple partners, both Baguin as Trujillo, were aware of the situation and alerting their implications for students.
From ideal to action, action to failure
the 5th of June at about 9pm, a newsletter had reported the crimes in Bagua. The press officer, servant of the system, he suggested that those responsible for this incident were the Indians who, they say, a "terrorist" act, had opposed the "development" of the country. At that time, a boy of my school told me that would be a meeting early the next day to express our solidarity.
was cold and dark this Saturday in which a handful of young people we met at the home of some friends of Bagua to know, out loud, what really was happening. After reaching some agreements, we decided to speak out against the slaughter of which we we were all aware.
At first, we denounced the crimes almost blindly, collecting the odd story, linking it with the information passed and inviting passers-by to draw their own conclusions. Do not hesitate a second to stand up and reveal the horrors that took place: from street to street, talked with young people and we explained what was going to invite them to show solidarity with the victims of crimes carried out by APRA.
This was taking some reciprocity, but we knew it was not enough solidarity and intention: the need to jump from the subjective to the real, a voice in what happened and narrators of the facts so that través de la lógica, naciera la acción solidaria como respuesta consecuente a la ética y la conciencia individual.
Pero increíble was also the reaction from students and some teachers. The spaces we use for assemblies at the time were filled out by young people who participated in what we explained and sustentábamos through phone calls we got or the videos we found. And with each meeting held, the handful of young people started this move, was becoming a string of colleagues who joined the whole process of organization and dissemination.
During that week, had a team supporting all: they were the companions who spent hours and hours researching on the Internet, collecting información, descubriendo que el mundo entero denunciaba esta masacre y que sólo en el Perú había un silencio terrorista, los que nos daban breves cátedras de terminologías y etimologías para entender perfectamente la situación y los argumentos, los que nos abrían los espacios que creíamos imposible abrirse para estas circunstancias –como la sala de conferencias de mi universidad –, los que salíamos a conversar con los estudiantes, explicarles los hechos de la manera más entendible e invitarlos a unirse a lo que estábamos haciendo y los que se encargaban de registrar estos actos.
Si bien la masacre en Bagua fue un acto desgarrador e imperdonable, es cierto también que esta herida brought the awareness of young people who had never been aware and committed participation of those who until then had kept apart.
solidarity in our small community was extremely strong and the ties that were forged were robust. Throughout this wave, not only spoke of the slaughter in Bagua, which was the main topic at the meetings - but they were discussed several alternatives that we take for young people we had a formal voice in the socio-political affairs of our people. At that time, the case also occurred in the northern part of the Amazon, 280 internal conflicts blood stained the various regions the country, and we followed closely these: Protests in Cuzco, Puno, Ayacucho, La Oroya, Cajamarca, Pataz, Callao and Trujillo were marking our ideas and to focus the action centers. Moreover, within my university, we were eager to overthrow the fascist and unconstitutional regulation prohibiting student political organization, to destroy the scammer curriculum imposed by employers and make college a cauldron of proposals, a revolutionary weapon far the circumstances we had to live.
a result, born the various workshops and talks that CEPEDEH organized according to the magnitude of the events. The first conducted was a forum entitled "Environment and Endangered Species Chaos" in late September. In it, we played four key issues, social activism, pointing to the class struggle, ie, socialism and care of natural resources, or environmentalism, also denounced the decrees criminalize social protest, the faenones, the Lotización of the Amazon and the attitudes of the press pickpocket capital's face facts.
few months later, in the context of the ban on morning-after pill, did another student forum to touch the abortion issue from a legal standpoint, social and political. In addition, in periods inactive group, took advantage for additional spaces to expand the bases of the youths and cooperate in the struggle of workers. Thus, after stumbling in different movements and unions, we train young people of all universities in Trujillo Youth Network for Human Rights and, among adults, adherence to the proposed Land and Freedom.
However, as we were defining ideological forms and actions, the excitement produced during the slaughter in Bagua declined and did not take long to cool your mouth youths solidarity, in addition to this, several events later triggered the March Peace caused the beginning of the end of our brief collective consciousness.
In my case, the first blow that pushed me into the shadows of isolation was the sudden and unexpected withdrawal of cooperation in the journal Día30. Until that time, had managed to be the general coordinator and the post, somehow, was the opening of new content. Taking the popular conscience clear and definite, contacts and information, the only thing missing was as editors can polish so that the space was a revolutionary platform not only information but also in the style and format.
But the idea of \u200b\u200busing the magazine as a forum for the dissemination of ideologies and proposed service of overcoming social, collapsed at the same speed that a house of cards collapses. Parallel to the surprise of my replacement in the post above, two texts were censored had written about conflicts in the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego and slaughter in Bagua. That attitude was the last thing received by the committee in charge of the magazine since the start of the new I was not reconvened the participation of new writings or the solution to their crisis, maintaining that exile to this day today.
But censorship and expulsion that I suffered in that magazine were not as severe as the isolation and rejection he suffered CEPEDEH in the student body. While, during the demonstrations that we made to invite students to show solidarity with our brothers in Bagua we were welcomed by the youth, it was clear that elements were also dangerous for those who fear change and wish to continue their lives as they always have known. Therefore, it was obvious that these people would not stay quiet to see how they derrumbábamos its outdated rules. Before that, we would overthrow us.
From that moment, was planted and spread a campaign of terror against us in all areas where we had been. Youth of the universities, in turn, supported by 100% the activities, suddenly went away. Some warned fears and follow that path, others simply swallowed the earth. Added to this, peers and colleagues who were stuck in CEPEDEH pushing with greater commitment, we grew apart due to personal reasons. Some Trujillo decided to leave here because they assumed that it was impossible to sow seeds of revolution: they believed that there was no alternative but to leave for Lima. However, those who stayed here, we continue to drive CEPEDEH, assuming that the space where you had to assemble the body and call the students was my university.
The agreement determined that way because, for the rest of us, mostly, we were the UPN-only one partner was from La Nacional -, also reached the conclusion that my university was a blank space where it had never addressed these issues and these agencies had been undertaken and we thought that this was a good argument, and not oxidized archetypes collide with regard to politics.
addition to this, in the summer of 2010, the president convened a handful of young people from schools of architecture and communications, young farmers told were true representatives of the faculty. The reason was that meeting was the disastrous response from students in a survey conducted. The objective was to determine the causes and propose solutions. Therefore, although the space and the call was totally different than the one used CEPEDEH was obvious and tempting an opportunity to denounce the abuses at the university and express our concerns: for the first time he invited an young activist give a perspective for the first time I opened the door really useful.
The meeting had been promising, as it was agreed, under a promise, that the president would send us a draft of reforms following issues will supervise defendants and we will add dimensions if necessary. It seemed that everything flowed according to plans which had been designed within CEPEDEH.
's setback to victory
never really know if there was a plot to overthrow the wishes of the students or just tweak and we knew we were not capable of anything, so yes I have clear is what happened next: disaster total. The chancellor never sent us the reforms, and his apology or anything. Following this and subsequent abuse, as the unjustified rise in pensions - I dared to write a letter, thinking naively that receive massive support from students and that everyone would bid to impose our position.
Hardly anyone expressed support and those who did not were the ones to take the lead in this new struggle. Luck, again, was played and taking into solitude as a witness, the following acts, stubborn and polarized, were only able to isolate and coughing of becoming students. In the classrooms of my school ran entirely fanciful legends but highly overwhelming, creándome a subversive renegade image that ended scaring students. Talking politics was a basket case because people who at one time had an act of solidarity and formed CEPEDEH, went away completely and is maintained, either through fear, laziness or both, tacit what happened, denying any link in some point related. Added to this, the anger and rejection of liberal teachers and students, generated fuel ashes did everything in his time had been made, using their media to disseminate their propaganda blatantly terrifying.
What remains, then, everything we did? From the objective point of view, nothing, because CEPEDEH, the group has been broken and the members who rely on their training we have moved away, now, each one drives from the various areas that the circumstances we have been presenting, adapting to a new stage of our struggles and lives.
In my case, because new obligations that I have been presented, I simply collecting the broken pieces and redeemable Runakuna that after severe crisis similar to what has been CEPEDEH, reboot again, correcting old defects and opting for new shares.
But human life and human relations are not limited to the objective, to the facts. Life is also a learning file, ideals, feelings and suggestions. From that point, CEPEDEH much for those who think we can change the world from our common human condition, students and workers, men and women believe that only through unity is the true strength and achieving it need to learn and accept others, without air superiority complexes and taxation.
From this point of view, our Student Community Pro Environmentalism and Human Rights is and always will be a sack full of experiences and dreams that are more legitimate and relevant than ever, ready to reinvent itself and run at the time and space given to them .
This again leads us to prepare with greater sharpness as we did last time, taking all the spaces that we are best to listen and listen to us. For although they who won the said battle, it is clear that there is still the outcome of this war. Therefore, we must not lose even a seed of revolution. We must use all spaces, all lands and all the plows to sow again and trust in new results.
For me, knowing and being involved with issues related to the reality of my people and alternatives to overcome, but, above all, at the insistence of cooperation through art and poetry, the creation and imagination as real aim of all these desires.
